i'm found many new words..its are :

• preceeded : to go before
• interjection : a word or words, or some noise,used to express surprise, pain or other feelings.
• indulgent : very kind, especially too kind. "an indulgent garndmother"
• distinctive : different from others; easy to distinguish and recognize

but..i can't hear david crystal's voice..i dont know why..i dont know what happen to this pc..???

Today, I want to talk about my listening experience of the Prof. David Crystal’s website. For the first time I’m listening with this site, I’m very shocked because he talks so fluent and so fast. I can’t understand what he says. After that, I think I must repeat again because for the first listening, I can’t listening very well. After listening again and again, I refer to the transcript, the new words to me is, “circumstances”, and “accolade”.

But, although I’m listening Prof. David Crystal’s website, I can improve my pronunciation. But quite sometimes, I can’t do same with him. Very difficult to followed his pronounce. But when I’m refer to the transcript, I think I can do it. without the transcript, I can’t…=)

That my opinion when I listened about learning English in website http//www.bbc.co.uk/worldservice/learningenglish/. When the first time I listened it I can’t understand what he said. The speaker talks very fast and some words not clear. Because of that I can’t pick up what he said. I can’t understand the whole of Prof. David Crystal’s recording it something difficult to me. Just a little word I can understand. Some time him intonation like he talks with some one. It not attracted me to listen it. But when I repeat again and I read the script I can understand but not the whole of script but a little what the meaning of the article.

In this exercise I get more benefit from that. First it helped me to pronoun the correct word. But some time give me stress to listen it. Second I get new word. It improved my vocabulary. Such as wiked that means splendid, wonderful, great and cool. Another word is wysiwyg. it is an acronym meaning “what you see is what you get” I hope one day I will interest to listen it more than now. InsyaAllah.

Today i'm listened Prof. David Crystal's recording. I'm choosed one topic about "cell". This topic talked about mobile phone technology. He said that cell phone was tricky because some people spelled it as one word and some people spelled it as two. Mobile phones are now in different colours.

I think David Crystal is a old man. First time i'm listen it, i can't understand what he want to talk. He was talked very fast. Ifelt very boring and sleepy. But when i read it's article i can understand what he want to say. I got some new words when i'm read it.

Oh My God….this text is very difficult to understand.but I try to do it slow and slow..he…he at first time I listen to David Crystal ,oh..i don’t understand anything but….when I listen…listen and listen again I can understand what him try to say..he..he he talk very fluent and fast like aeroplane on the air.
Wuss come in many word like wussy or wimp. All the word that I said mean about one person is very coward and weak. “she’s a wuss” it means someone person is very weakness to do something. She not enough energy to make herself very strong. I try to search what a mean of Wuss, but I not find it in dictionary, but I try to understand with some word clue in this transcript. One of my friend tell me, wuss it mean a clown. Clown is a person who does comical trick to audience.

Assignment 1 : Writing a self-Assessment Essay

First I want to write about my reading. I think that the Penguin Readers Book Review is so difficult to me to understand. I’m really unlike to read the English’s books. But when I read my first penguin readers book is Anne of Green Gables, I’m very like that. I’m enjoyed to finish this book for a fifteen minutes. from the reading, I can improve my English skill especially in my vocabulary and my grammar. Besides that, it make easy to me to understand the story.

Secondly, about my writing in my achievement in learning English, I learned the skill to write a good summary. In addition I know to write a good summary. In writing a summary it have four step to consider. The first step is a the original text then purpose and then note making and the last step is writing out the summary.

Lastly, I enjoyed in this class because I participation discussions in this class. For example, class drama. In making presentation for the project work I become responsible autonomous learners. Morever, I will get knowledge in the specified area in my research at Australia. So, I will improve my presentation skill in my participation discussion.

By the way in my activities in English class I like the drama and make a cup of tea with my friend and my madam. I like this because I enjoy and I learned it clearly. I think that I like and I enjoy all of the activities in my English class. In addition, this is my first time really enjoy and happy learning English with my madam Wan Iman binti Wan Salim. For my madam, thank you very much for teaching me and I love you very much forever and ever.

Salam…For my lovely madam and beloved friends..

For a long time, I listened sound of David Crystal spoken. I was choice the topic about wysiwyg…

First time I hear it, i can’t guess what thing his speak. Because Professor david crystal was speak quickly and promptly.. but, after a few minute I listened it, I can understand what he want.
I hear for more time, while I do that, I also read the article..Now I know what is "WYSIWYG"..do you want to know that?...It's " what you see is what you get "..sound like in the Britney Spears's song.
When I listen David Crystal was spoken, I learned many new words.including the words that I don’t ever find it before this. Distance is circumstances. The meaning of circumstances is situation, condition, plight and entity. Besides that, the word had I found is accolade. The syinonoms are praise, credit and recommendation.
I can understand the whole article that I was read for a long time. Although it’s has taken many times to understand that article. I can improve my English language and increase my word treasury. It also as a supplement to me to learn how to speak the English language quickly and very good. I can feel the change in my English language after I listened for Professor David Crystal was spoken and after read that article.
I hope my English language will be better and better best in the future.

Hello my beloved madam and all my friends!!! Today I listened about another topic from David Crystal....
Firstime, I listened the topic, I think he speaks so fast and I can't understand his. After that I tried to listened again and tried to understand what topic topic he talking...Next, I choose the topic about the new word...It about wicked.
From this topic, it was part of trend which decades to use bad words to mean good concept. Such as when we saying 'that great' meaning 'it isn't great or another word such as 'naughty to mean 'nice'..Although, so with wicked, tone of voice is the only way to make the distinction between the old meaning and the new meaning. We have to careful and pay very careful attention to the context when somebody saying about bad word because it meaning good word. We have to known that is trend expecially from the youngsters.
Besides, from this topic, I've learn about many new words such as splendid, wicked, sort, squeezed, merry, cheerful, distinction, ambigious. I can get a lot of advantage from Proffesor David Crystal, he is very intelligent man and have many knowledge about English, besides, from this topic, it can improve my english language.

Today i learning david crystal about " PHAT "..emm..what are think about this word?what the meaning?...emm..firstly i listen this topic i don't understand what "phat"?listen seem fat..really?i listen and listen then understand..but bit..what i understand about "phat" from listen david crystal talk is "phat" is mean excellent, cool and great.."phat" used since 1990s. It's from hip hop slang originally meant sexiness, real sexiness...

emm.."phat" and "fat" two word hear same right...but spelling not same..and the meaning also not same..this is say the homophony..So, today i learning about "phat"..emm..no difficult to understand this word..just i need listen again and again to uderstand..

today, i would like to talk about david cristal. i think, he is a old man but good speaks in english. i think, he speak fastly and i don't understand but we must learn very hard and hear regularly to improve my english language.

i also got the new words from david cristal like wysiwgh. first time, i don't understand what he talk about, what the meaning and how to spell it.

i think, i agree with madam opinion. we must always hear the people speak in english like david. beside that, we can correct our vocabulary spelling. why i talk that? becouse sometime words different in spelling but the sound near to same. other words are same but different the meaning.

Today i was listening from David Crystal about "WYSIWIGH"..Do you know about "Wysiwigh"? First time i listen the topic, i can't understand what he talked about and i don't know what is "wysiwigh"...And then, i try to listen it again and again and finally i understand and know about "wysiwigh"...This word is acronym......he.he...A meaning of "wysiwigh" is what you see is what you get.....

TASK 1: IN YOUR DREAM BY DAVID CRYSTAL

I choose “in your dream” as a title my assignment by prof. david crystal. Firtly, I listen the audio and I didn’t undertand what he talked about. Then I try to listen it again and again and finally I understand the task. It was about phrase dream.

“In your dreams!' That phrase came in during the 1990s. It meant someone is being unrealistic, very optimistic, very hopeful. It mixes two senses of the word 'dream' - what happens when you're asleep, and the sense of day dream or reverie -it's a very general use.

And most interesting of all, the phrase being extended with the pronoun changing for example:

- when in a traffic jam, when the driver thought the road ahead was clearing. 'In your dreams!' said the passenger.

- 'I hear you're planning a holiday this year'. And I remember muttering to myself, 'in my dreams'!

I found a few vocabularies such as a below:

a. unrealistic unlikely to happen, not very possible

b. optimistic having a positive view on life

c. daydream pleasant thoughts that make you forget what you are doing

d. traffic jam cars in a queue that isn’t moving

e. pronoun a word that is used instead of a noun e.g. he or him

f. muttering speaking in a low voice so that people can’t hear you

I likes him because he talk not too fast, so i can hear and understand what he said. But some word i can't understand what he talk because is not very clear. Then, i was listen again to hear that word and understand what he said. Listening by David Crystal also easy to learn and good to improve listening skill, knowledge and vocabulary.

ASSALAMUALAIKUM to madam Iman and my friends!!!..

Today, I have heard from David crystal in his article “in your dreams”. It told about the used of ‘in your dreams’. It happens in two situations either it happen in our sleep on night or it happen in our day dreams. Actually it for the second person and used the word ‘your’. But now David crystal said that he heard the sentence ‘in your dreams’ is also happen to the first person that is ‘in my dreams’ used the word ‘my’. And it also happen to the third person that is ‘in his dreams’ used the word ‘his’. Erm… it sounds strange when I read the article at first time. David can make one article only use the sentence ‘in your dreams’. It is short article but it concise. I feel satisfied when I heard the article because I can understand it. I think I should hear the English voice in many times as madam Iman said. It can tune our ear to understand the word of English.

That all for the article “in your dreams”. Just want to remember u, don’t dreams all the time or you will lost every second of your time… salam.

"wicked" is a meaning good,great and cool...many youngster using this word u know...in their spoked. it's part of general trend...it's bad meaning too like "brutal"...so we can use other meaning of "wicked".

Yesterday i'm listen for David Crystal. He speak not too fast but sometimes i can't catch some word he says. I also have found some difficult word. However i'm still understand what he says. I don't like his voice its not nice because its so boring. I know you are same too. Yesterday i'm listen about 'CELL'. Cell is a mobile. Some people spell it in different word but its same thing. Now cell phone have a different colour.

I hear for Prof. David Crystal said again. He talked about "Wush" Do you know what means "Wush"? Firstly, i listen i don't know what means "Wush". The Prof. David crystal spoken very quickly.I don't understand what he said. Then, I check my dictinory but it's not there.After that, i read the tapescript. I understand what about it. The tapescript give example as "He's wuss,She's wuss. It means ineffectual person, indecisive, weak. It has a very unclear etmology. This article is very interesting to me. Today, i listen professor David Crystal p. I love his voice when he speaks english. Professor David Crystal is one of the world's foremost experts on language. He speak english very good and talked used by tone. He talked about " Get a life". I like there article. When i listen, I need to know many english words. I think my vocabulary is poor. Professor David crystal was spoken english very quickly. Some time i can not hear and take what word he said. I can understand of the speaker used the simple word and said word one by one. My opinion is I really like this article although the Professor David Crystal is oldman but I love his voice and when he speak in English too.For me, this article is really good to helps me to improve my English listening. This is because the grammar's user is very good. The Professor was spoken smoothly and readily.But, my problem is he was spoken quickly. I can't catch the words that he said before. I think, it is inticipation to me to learn English Language.My listening skill is lower. I must always practise to get the best skill in English.I understand what is the article about.But have some sentences that difficult to me because I don't know the meaning of words user and the Professor spoken very fast. Although I have that problems but I understand it.I know what is the massage that he want to impart.The Professor was gave the description about dreams. And what he think about it.He said that the dream can makes someone being very hopeful. I agree with him. Lastly, he told that he also has the dream.An addition, in this article has the words that I don't know meaning. Hai frens, today I have learn about BLOG. This article I took from David Crystal web site. This is an ASSIGNMENT 2: TASK 1. After I heard the David Crystal, I think he is intelligent in English. He also speaks so fast. Some word I can’t catch it. I understand the whole story about it. I have list down the words that I think it a bit difficult, such as ABBREVIATION and COINAGES.

I must hear it again and again, because I believe I will more understand. Sometime I’m thinking, why the English person speak so fast? I can’t understand them. Sometime they speak not clearly. Some words they hide it. But, the interesting thing when they speak is there is a tone. So, it makes me attractive to hear their talking.

Hhehe..that all what can I talk about DAVID CRYSTAL. I want learn more his learning in his website. Thanx everyone. Salam.
